In 2021, GGPoker surpassed PokerStars as the most popular place to play poker. Since then, GG has held the lead in terms of traffic. An impressive achievement when you consider that PS has held the top position for 15 consecutive years. GGPoker is a great poker room, but not without its drawbacks. Chief among them is the lack of stats and HUD while playing. Or is there still an option to output stats and HUD?

Does Hand2Note support playing with HUD on GGPoker?

The most popular poker network is against stats. In its opinion, it puts players on an unequal conditions and gives them an unfair advantage. "The "Security & Ecology Policy" on the GGPoker website explicitly prohibits the use of trackers and HUDs during the play. This is explicitly stated in clause 16 about third-party tools. Only table layout and hotkey assignment software is allowed. So, you can't play a full game with Hand2Note in GG Network?

Actually, no. You can get your stats and HUD. Not one tracker directly supports GGPoker, but Hand2Note works there through a converter. The KingsHands team has been working on a converter for GGPoker for a long time and released a working version a few months ago.

Can I be banned for playing with the converter?

It is forbidden to play with converter on GGPoker. It is also forbidden to use the emulator. That is why the security service of the poker room has more than enough reasons to block you. However, you will not get banned if you follow the instructions. You do not need any complicated actions or programming skills - just run the emulator, converter and room in the correct order. PokerCraft and Smart HUD - a worthy replacement for poker trackers?

PokerCraft and SmartHUD are an attempt by the room to compensate players with statistics for the lack of the trackers. Why "attempt"? Because neither tool can fully replace a tracker. However, they are of some use.

PokerCraft allows you to analyse your own stats. A button to go to your personal page is in the lower right corner of the client. All hands from cash tables and tournaments are added to the database. The stats can be sorted by criteria, similar to how filters work in trackers. PokerCraft has charts and graphs.

A few dozen more updates and PokerCraft will become a really useful tool

There is a long list of tabs on the left side of the main window. The key value of PokerCraft for players is the ability to download hand history, so that it can be imported into the tracker for a full analysis. Downloading hand history is inconvenient - each discipline has to be downloaded separately.

Smart HUD - a simplified version of the HUD of statistics software. It has been updated with new stats several times since its introduction in 2018. As of July 2022, GGPoker offers:

• VPIP (main stats, displayed as a number next to the player's nickname);
• PFR;
• Total number of hands;
• Profit;
• Attempt to steal;
• 3bet.

These statistics pop up when you hover your cursor over the Smart HUD icon. Clicking on this cursor makes information on continuation bets, aggression, and showdown frequencies available.

Both tools are of limited use. PokerCraft allows you to download your hand history, but the nicknames of your opponents are encrypted. Comprehensive hand analysis without information about your opponents is impossible. The Smart HUD provides basic statistics, but they reset at the end of the session. The next time you meet your opponent, he will be an unknown again. Without a good sample, the same ATS or 3bet will not be of much use. Making decisions based on an insufficient number of hands is probably even harmful.

What are the advantages of playing on GGPoker?

At the end of June 2022, PokerStars' cash traffic set an anti-record and fell to 3,000 players. GG Network and Asian mobile poker apps benefited most from the PS debacle. They had a proportional increase in player numbers. The migration of poker players is not only due to the questionable policies of PokerStars in recent years, but also to the growing appeal of competitors. GGPoker offers its users:
